Meet the team

Since its inception, the Vernon Township Police Athletic League (PAL) has grown into a cornerstone of the community, welcoming new members year after year. As a proud member of the National PAL, Vernon PAL is dedicated to fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the youth. The organization provides a wide range of programs and activities to Vernon residents, with many opportunities also available to residents from surrounding communities. This commitment to inclusion and community-building remains at the heart of Vernon PAL’s mission.

The PAL Crew: Powering Community, Driving Success


Director: Sergeant Stephen Rovetto

Sergeant Stephen Rovetto began his career in law enforcement in May 2008. After Graduating from Sussex County Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice, he began working as a Juvenile Correctional Officer at the Sussex County Juvenile Detention Center. After a short time there, he felt his passion for law enforcement grow and decided to transfer to become a Sheriff's Officer with the Sussex County Sheriff's Office. After serving with the Sussex County Sheriff's Office, Sergeant Rovetto finally landed here in Vernon, the place he has always called home. As a graduate of Vernon Township Highschool, he has been very eager to give back. Serving as VTSD School Resource Officer as well as the LEAD Program coordinator for several years, he naturally fit into the role here as the Director of the Vernon PAL.


Assistant Director: Amy Hackett

As a dedicated member of the Vernon Township PAL, Amy Hackett brings her passion for community service and youth development to the organization. With a strong background in community engagement, Amy plays an integral role in coordinating programs and activities that foster positive relationships between law enforcement and local families. Her commitment to enriching the lives of Vernon’s youth is evident in everything she does, making her a valued leader within the PAL community.


Program Facilitator: Samantha Dulmer

Samantha Dulmer serves as a Program Facilitator for the Vernon Township PAL, where her enthusiasm for youth programs shines. With a talent for organizing engaging activities, Samantha ensures that every event fosters growth, teamwork, and community spirit. Her commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for Vernon’s youth makes her an invaluable part of the PAL team.
