The PAL has a scholarship application form that must be filled out in order to request financial assistance for any program.    You must contact the PAL at 973-764-9514 or email us at info@vernonpal.com in order to request the scholarship application form.  Once the form has been filled out and submitted to the PAL, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted of our decision.


The PAL can also make arrangements if necessary for a payment plan for most of our programs.


 The PAL does not give scholarships for Ski Club.

 No, The Vernon PAL is a private, non-profit organization. The building was built entirely with donations and volunteer labor. No township money was used to build the PAL building.

Yes, $75.00 per hour for the gym and $50.00 per hour for the game/meeting room. Subject to availability.

Call us and we will discuss this with you. Even if we cannot use it we have the ability to get the equipment in the hand of kids who need it.

Yes, You should put together a budget and program plan. Submit it to us and we will review it to see if the PAL would be interested in sponsoring it.

Probably not, submit your request in writing, with the reason for the request and it will be reviewed.

That depends. Some programs fill up and no children can be added. It's best to call us at 764-9514 to check the programs status. There will always be at least a $15.00 late fee.

Normal Operating Hours: 6:30am - 6:30pm, subject to change with school district weather-related decisions.


  • Delayed Openings: If schools delay opening (e.g., 2 hours), PAL will start accepting children at 8:30am.

  • Early Dismissals: If schools have an early dismissal (not weather-related), the PAL After School program begins as soon as schools release students.

  • School Closures: If schools are closed due to bad weather, the PAL and all associated programs are canceled.
